Leading with Love

Updated: Nov 8, 2023

As we step into a season of transformative endeavors, we do so with great joy and purpose. We have always sought to embody the values of compassion, empathy, and love in all that we do. Our mission is not just a statement; it is a way of life that reflects our ethical and social responsibility to extend a helping hand to those who need it the most. In this newsletter, we want to shed light on our commitment to assisting individuals released from incarceration and the impact this support has on creating a more inclusive and just society.

Dignity forms the very foundation of our organization's existence. It is not only a privilege but our duty to uplift and support those who have faced the challenges of incarceration and are now seeking to rebuild their lives. Our ethical responsibility lies in recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, irrespective of past mistakes. By providing them with the tools they need to succeed, we give them a chance to find redemption and contribute positively to society.

A thriving, just, and compassionate society is one that does not leave anyone behind. At Going Back 2 Give Back, we understand the social implications of neglecting those who have been incarcerated. Without proper support and guidance, the likelihood of individuals experiencing recidivism increases significantly, perpetuating a cycle that impacts not only their lives but also their families and communities. As an organization committed to community development, we must address the root causes of recidivism and create a pathway for successful reintegration.

One of the cornerstones of our approach is empowering individuals with education and skill-building opportunities. By offering access to educational programs and vocational training, we equip them with the tools they need to secure stable employment and forge a path towards a brighter future. Education not only opens doors but also fosters personal growth and self-confidence, enabling individuals to break free from the shackles of their past while discovering their value and purpose.

Loneliness and isolation are often prevalent challenges faced by those released from incarceration.

To combat this, we place great importance on fostering supportive relationships. Through mentorship and community engagement, we connect these individuals with a network of caring individuals who can provide guidance, emotional and spiritual support, along with encouragement throughout their journey of reintegration.

We also believe in being agents of change beyond direct assistance. As we build out our reach and offerings, we will also actively advocate for the necessary changes that promote rehabilitation, fair treatment, and opportunities for those who have been incarcerated. By influencing systemic change, we aspire to create a society that embraces rehabilitation rather than punishment, understanding that true transformation is possible when individuals are given the chance to heal and grow.

In the spirit of leading with love, we wholeheartedly embrace our ethical and social responsibility. TOGETHER, we can create a community that exemplifies compassion, understanding, and the belief in second chances. By providing support, education, and advocacy, we build a foundation for individuals to overcome adversity and transform their lives for the better.

We are always looking for partners that are willing to help assist in this vital mission. Financial assistance is always welcomed as well as business partners that have a desire to create a more equitable chance for those who have successfully paid their debt to society. We thank you for standing with us in this vital mission. It is through your unwavering support that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of those seeking to reintegrate into society with dignity and hope.

With Gratitude,

Vincent Hobbs
